As I get older I find myself shying away from bikinis. I have nothing against them, but since I am often chasing after my toddler these days I need to make sure that everything… er, stays in place. 🥴😅
In years past, I used to think that all one piece swimsuits were inherently frumpy, but I couldn’t have been more wrong! There are so many designs available that provide both coverage and style.
I’ve been shopping for swimsuits recently because it’s been cold and rainy this week in Seattle and it has me craving warm weather fun! Since I’ve been filling my e-cart, I thought I’d share some of my favorites as well as favorite brands to shop.
I’m also one of “those moms” that enjoys matching / coordinating with my family, so I’ll indicate which brands also offer options for little ones with an asterisk (*).
This is our absolute favorite brand to shop for swimwear for the whole family. Beautiful prints / colors, stylish cuts and premium quality — we couldn’t ask for more!
I would argue that this iconic brand was one of the designers who lead the way for more chic one piece swimsuits (admittedly, with a pricetag to reflect that). Their signature scalloped edge adds a bit of feminine flair that I love and the fabric is wonderfully comfortable & high quality. They also offer their Bumby line for little ones!
A brand that was built on their swimsuits, but has expanded to include more clothing options. They offer a handful of flattering & stylish designs in multiple prints and colors — you can’t go wrong!
I feel like Gap and Old Navy haven’t always had the best fashion cred, but they’ve truly become one of my favorite places to shop for Sophie and they have some pretty respectable choices for adults too!
* JCrew // JCrew Factory
J.Crew often has great staples and that stands true even when it comes to swim! Love these swimsuits and also appreciate that they can be matched / coordinated with their CrewCuts / little kid swimsuits!
This should technically be included with the J.Crew + J.Crew Factory section above, but as Madewell doesn’t have clothing for little ones I wanted to separate them to avoid confusion.
I don’t often reach for H&M, but these swimsuits were too cute to ignore!
I’m so excited that warm weather is just around the corner and I’m hoping for lots of opportunities to wear these swimsuits (and to coordinate with Sophie! 😂).
Happy swim shopping, friends!
Sending hugs —
