FOR A SHORTCUT: I have all items linked in my ShopMy storefront
I really wanted our primary bedroom to be a serene sanctuary in our new home. We didn’t exactly have that option in our first house, so I took advantage of the opportunity to create that tranquil, calming type of space in this home. It’s still a tiny bit incomplete as we slowly search for art that will help to fully pull the room together, but I am so happy with where we’re at now and felt like it was ready to share (who knows how long it will take us to find art pieces!).

We used to be firmly against having a tv in our bedroom (research behind that choice here), but we decided that it might be fun to have the option in our room for when we want to snuggle and watch movies or shows in a comfy location, but not in our open concept living room where we might laugh loudly or have a surprise burst of high volume which could potentially wake sleeping littles or guests.
We LOVE our Samsung Frame tvs — there are so many features that we appreciate, but the best in my opinion is that we can set an image to look like art on the wall (a painting or photograph) when we aren’t watching it so it isn’t a mega rectangular black eyesore on the wall. I think that the thin black frame actually works with the general aesthetic of our room, but I have played around with the idea of getting a more bespoke look for it from Deco TV Frames so that it looks even more like artwork.
Our bedroom 65” Frame tv sits above this six drawer dresser (which also disguises the tv box and cables 🤭).

We also have enough space for a small sitting area (🤯) in our room which is the perfect little spot for reading, enjoying a cup of coffee, watching tv or answering emails if you want to be out of the fray of the rest of the house. These chairs are so comfy and this pair of nesting tables between them is the perfect amount of surface area.

I also want to take a moment to talk about this area rug. It has beyond exceeded our expectations! I know it’s scary to commit to white clothes and furnishings, but when they’re made with a performance fabric (read: stain resistant) and are washable — you go for it!
We ordered the rug pad to accompany the rug and it’s the MOST deluxe rug pad with a grippy rubber bottom that helps keep the rug in place. And the rug itself feels like walking on a cloud. It’s soooo plush and the fabric feels absolutely divine underfoot. It’s a bit of a splurge, but it makes the room feel so luxe and I love the added textural element to the space.
