This year was especially fun to prepare for because we have two(!!) Easter baskets to fill! We have an almost-four-year-old and a nine month old so our basket filler choices will reflect those age groups.
We have also gotten Sophie many fun spring things in the past (like bubbles / bubble blowers, sidewalk chalk, fingerpaints, crayons, etc.) which I still fully believe make excellent gifts, but we’re currently packed to the gills with those items already so we didn’t buy any this year.
I also want to note that there are a few items that didn’t arrive in time to be included in the photographs, but will absolutely be in the girls’ baskets so I still included them in the post.
I absolutely LOVE Sophie’s basket… so much so that I would totally use it for home decor throughout the rest of the year! 😅 It’s a bit of an investment piece, but I honestly think it’s pretty enough to repurpose beyond just the Easter holiday! As soon as I saw them for sale again last year I snagged one for Chloe as well (even though she hadn’t even made her debut yet! 🤭).
I did buy this liner for it to use when filling it with treats. I wanted a specific style (simple cream scalloped edge) and thankfully I was able to source a style that fits in my beloved baskets.
Since the baskets are pretty much identical, I got these adorable acrylic tags with the girls’ names on them. The bunny shape is so festive!

Gifting a swimsuit for Easter was a tradition that my mom started in our Easter baskets growing up and I love to carry that on with our girls. Growing up in Florida, Easter usually happened around the same time that the weather started to become perfect for swimming again. I can’t resist shopping for our whole family’s swimsuits at Minnow — they have the best cuts, fabric, and prints! I absolutely love them and always try to get matching / coordinated suits for all four of us.
It seems like pajamas are the thing that the girls grow out of faster than anything else so I find that I end up buying them almost quarterly trying to keep up with their growth spurts. 🤣 This is the set we bought for Sophie this year — I recommend going up at least one size in LAKE pajamas (you could even go up two sizes for longer wear time!).
I don’t typically love the fisherman style sandals, but Pehr manages to make everything pretty. I’m looking forward to Sophie wearing these sandals for all of the fun we’re going to have this spring and summer (but saving her toes!).
As Sophie is growing, her hair is getting longer and actually requires more care. These sweet pink satin hair scrunchies are going to be especially great for bedtime, but also for wearing to dance class and beyond!

Books / Activities
Sophie LOVES playing with Play Doh so I got her some Play-Doh eggs in fun colors as well as a rubber playmat to play on (to keep our tabletops clean 😉 ).
We already have a decent number of festive books for holidays, but I ordered this one and this one that are centered around celebrating spring.
Sophie is SUPER into the show “Bluey” and when I saw these “Bluey” themed activity books (One and Two), I just had to grab them because I know she’ll absolutely love them.

Treats
Sophie really enjoyed her solid bunny shaped chocolate Hershey bar last year so I thought I’d try a hollow Ghirardelli milk chocolate bunny this year.
We’ll have to show Sophie how to eat these to avoid choking (due to the shape), but these Ferrero Rocher chocolate eggs look amazing and we can enjoy them together!
We have really only ever given Sophie YumEarth gummies and when I saw that they had a jellybean option for the holiday I had to get them for her to try; hopefully she likes them.

Growing up in Florida, Easter was THE holiday that our mom would gift each of us with a new swimsuit for the year because it was typically around the same time that the weather started to be perfect for swimming again. We have some warm weather trips later this year and belong to a local pool club so these will get lots of use, even in the PNW!
This little baby swimsuit is such a classic style and print with the blue stripes. Our family has a lot of blue print swimsuits so even though we may not be matching, we are certainly coordinated! Minnow is our all-time favorite swim brand for the whole family.

Teethers are always a hit with babies since everything goes in their mouths anyway. 🤭 There are sooo many cute styles, both non-festive and seasonal to choose from. I chose this cute egg / bunny shaped rattle teether because it’s something I can just toss in my bag to entertain Chloe when we’re on the go.
Babies love a suction spinner — I couldn’t resist this little flower style. it’s so perfect for entertaining babies all over the house because of the suction cup.
I bought these seasonal clear rattle balls in Target’s Bullseye’s Playground / Dollar Spot a year ago, but I found a few available from online sellers.
I’m trying to be better about making time to read to just Chloe, even though she joins us every night for our bedtime story time. With that effort in mind, we got Chloe two spring / Easter-y themed books: this one and this one.

Miscellaneous
Now that Chloe has two tiny teeth popping out, I ordered a silicone training toothbrush for her to get used to the sensation of having her teeth brushed. We’ll adjust to a proper toothbrush soon, but I like the idea of this more gentle option while we’re still mainly formula feeding.
I also need to be making more of an effort to incorporating solids into Chloe’s day. It’s so much easier to just stay in our current routine, but I know I need to start introducing her to them more. I thought these little silicone baby spoons would be good for her to hold and maybe get some purees into her mouth.
In that same vein I thought it might be fun to get some yummy baby food pouches. Blueberries were Sophie’s favorite as a baby so I thought maybe Chloe might enjoy the flavor as well.
