I’ve shared before that I prefer a more natural approach when it comes to my makeup application and I also have a very low-maintenance, no-frills routine because my time is pretty limited these days. I am a far cry from a beauty blogger or makeup artist, but I still enjoy wearing a bit of makeup that enhances my natural face by evening my skin tone, neutralizing my dark circles, concealing blemishes, and generally just “waking up” my face. Since I really love these products and the fact that they make my daily routine super easy (I can apply everything I need in about ~5 min), I thought it might be helpful to share them with you.
First off, these products are great for travel for two reasons: (1) none of them are liquids, soft creams or gels so there are no TSA concerns, and (2) they all come in “stick” forms which means that they can easily fit in a small pouch. Having everything you need in one little bag seriously cuts down on bulk so if you prefer to travel minimally like I do, this is a gamechanger.
They’re also great for everyday full-face application or if you need to apply any touchups throughout the day (due to sweat or rain, etc). These are great products for any time, but their design and application methods make for an especially easy, no-fuss makeup situation when you’re out of the house. I love that you can use a brush to apply, blend, and buff these products in if you’re at home, but they can all also easily be applied with your [clean] fingertips if you find yourself without your brushes.

I know that I’m not the only busy person in the world, but I will say that getting ready and getting out of the house with a small child is a marathon and always takes so much longer than I initially expect it to so often times my beauty routine ends up being a washed face, moisturizer and some lip balm. With this little beauty bag I can apply products in the car (obviously not while driving! either while parked or as a passenger) so that I have a fresh face when we arrive at our destination.

Makeup pouch
I love Truffle bags. They make organization so chic and this pouch is no exception. The size is perfect for me to fit all of my beauty “essentials” for leaving the house and can manage to slip into my jam-packed diaper bag, as well as any of my other bags that are larger than a clutch.
These bags are super well made, sturdy, beautiful, and easy to clean. They’re definitely a bit more on the investment side of the pricing spectrum, but I think they’re definitely priced for their quality and value.
I’ve linked all of my favorites in the widget below:

SKIN

FOUNDATION
I love this option because while the cream formula has a kind of matte finish (minimal shine), it’s not drying. The formula is creamy enough to just glide onto the skin for a super easy application and I’d say that it gives light / medium coverage which blends well into skin, looking natural and not cakey. I use color “Linen”.

FACE PENCIL
This product just melts into your skin as you pat it in with your fingertips. I’m always astounded at the coverage and how natural it looks. I use it as a concealer, but you could also use it for more coverage in a pinch. I use “Color No. 7”.
—

BRONZE BALM
I love adding a bit of dimension and color to my face where the sun would naturally hit it and this stick helps me achieve that look. The “balm” formula just slides onto skin and blends beautifully. Additionally, I don’t always carry a blush with me so in those cases I utilize this bronzer as a pseudo cheek tint and it works like a charm! I use color “Clay”.

BLUSH
I love that this product is not only available in stick form, but the color is exactly my preference (“Louise is a tender beige with a touch of pink – a more neutral blush that’s ideal for fair skin or anyone who deals with rosacea.” I combat rosacea daily so this sounds perfect), and the stick isn’t one solid color, but a marbling of a few complementary shades that give it an even more natural effect when applied on your cheeks. I just touch the stick to my cheeks where I want the color and pat to blend it in. There is a built-in brush on the other end of the stick so you can easily buff it, no matter where you are. (FYI: This is an independent brand that I can’t link below in the widget, but they’re definitely worth supporting!).

EYES

BROW GEL
For as long as I have known about and used brow gel to tame my eyebrow hairs, I’ve always used Glossier. I used to only use the clear, but started using a tinted version because it helps to fill in any little empty patches. I wear color “Brown”.

EYE PENCIL
I prefer a kohl pencil to a liquid liner for every day because it’s more versatile. You can line your water line, you can be more defined with a sharp edge on your lash line or smudge it for a smokier look. I wear the classic “Black”.
—

MASCARA
My ride-or-die — the one makeup product I will never willingly go without. I love this formula because it just glides on and is easy to layer multiple coats if I want to increase the drama. I wear the only available color option: “Black”.

LIPS

LIP TINT
This formula is definitely more sheer than a classic lipstick (given away by the name lip tint 😉) and is very hydrating while still providing great color. I wear color “Nude Rose”.
When I layer a gloss over the lip color, I like to use this lip “butter balm”. This formula is divine and I love the “Vanilla Beige” for a hint of color. It’s so moisturizing and isn’t sticky, which can be tough for a gloss-type formula. Easy to wear on its own or layered over a lip color.

I put together a quick GRWM (Get Ready With Me) that you can watch here to see how I use these products to get my everyday makeup look!
I hope this was helpful for you, or maybe it was just entertaining re: my super amateur makeup application. 😜 Happy shopping, friends!
Sending hugs —
