Hello, friends! I hope that you had a great week! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? It’s been typical wild spring weather here in Seattle so I don’t know if we’ll do anything this weekend or just lay low. I did our big grocery shop and house cleaning earlier in the week while my husband was out of town for work (Sophie sat in a Target cart for the first time and it was so cute!) meaning that we don’t even have any major errands to run or chores to do. I mean, as homeowners there’s always something, but nothing is too pressing so we’ll see where the wind blows us (maybe literally — haha!).
Today I’m sharing five things that have piqued my interest or things that have been on my mind / going on in my life recently.

In case you missed it, Sephora’s Spring Savings Event begins today for Rouge members! I shared a blog post yesterday with all of my haircare, skincare, and makeup favorites as well as what’s in my cart. I love to take advantage of the sales to replenish my stock of items that I love & use often and / or to splurge on something I’ve been interested in for a long time whether that’s a fancy hair care tool or just a travel sized luxury product! If you’re looking for recommendations, I encourage you to check out my post!

I finally finished watching the most recent season of The Handmaid’s Tale and whew… that was a tough one. As a woman, that show really gets my blood boiling. I think it’s very well acted, directed and produced, the storyline is intriguing and keeps you on the edge of your seat (or cowering behind your blanket!), and the rollercoaster of emotions that the show can evoke is truly something (mother’s love, frustration, rage, relief, satisfaction, etc.). I won’t give anything away just in case you’re like me and haven’t watched yet (it’s a really fantastic series, but it can be… A LOT; I had to pause watching it during my pregnancy because, frankly, I just couldn’t handle it and I was worried it was elevating my blood pressure too much), but I’ll just say that I felt like the season finale was appropriate and I’m looking forward to Season 5! (Feel free to DM me on IG to discuss or share theories!)

My Frēda Salvador Eda sneakers arrived on Wednesday and oh my goodness they’re just as great as everyone says that they are! I was honestly expecting them to be all hype, but they totally delivered. Worth every penny (although I managed to score them on sale which made it even sweeter)! I might do a full review post on them just because they’re *that* good and deserve their own moment on my blog.

Sophie has always taken a pacifier for her naps and overnight sleeps; we also rely on it heavily when traveling… not just to keep her quiet (😜), but to also give her a sense of comfort when her surroundings are so different. It’s not like she’s obsessed with her paci or anything, but she certainly depends on it to help her fall asleep and I’ve been trying to plan ahead on how we will handle the eventual transition away from it. I love following @biglittlefeelings on Instagram because they share really helpful nuggets of wisdom on their platform and also offer a course to help parents navigate tantrums and toddlerhood! I recently discovered that they have a free mini guide on how to help your kiddo break up with their binky so I signed up for it immediately! If you’re currently in this stage or think you may be in the future as a Paci Household (like we are) I highly recommend snagging their guide!

And last, but certainly not least: I have been following @karlareed on Instagram for what feels like an eternity and I don’t even remember how I discovered her, but I have always loved her style. Sometimes the look that she gravitates toward isn’t exactly what I would pick (recently she has been super into Diane Keaton looks and that’s just not my vibe, but I appreciate them for what they are!); that being said, her styling principles can be applied to anyone’s aesthetic.
In the past few years she discovered a brand that she absolutely loves and has partnered with them many times, but recently collaborated with them on the design of her own belt bag (an item which is one of her closet staples)! They launched yesterday and look so amazing. I love the design for so many reasons: (1) because it can be worn as a belt bag, a crossbody / sling pouch, a shoulder bag, or even used as a clutch; (2) the fastener is so intentional / the hardware is minimal; (3) it comes in 4 beautiful colors: black, whiskey, cognac, and mauve; and (4) it’s sooo inclusive — the sizing on the belt can fit waists from 25″ – 60″! *note: this photo is from her IG Reel and not taken by me
My only wish is that the storage capacity was just a teensy bit wider to be able to fit one diaper and a small pack of wipes in there along with my iPhone 13 Max because that’s the current stage of life that I’m in. Maybe they’ll make some tweaks for the next iteration! They look truly beautiful; congratulations, Karla! If you’re in the market for a chic multi-purpose belt bag, look no further!
I hope you guys have an excellent weekend!
Sending hugs —
xx, Natalie
