If you’re looking for suggestions, the following are my [current] favorite beauty items that are carried at Sephora. Some items may be investment prices, but (1) I promise they’re worth it — I only share about products that I use and love for myself and (2) it’s a great time to give things a try when they’re at a discounted price!

HAIR
I have always loved haircare and definitely have more products pertaining to hair than anything else in my beauty arsenal. For reference, I have Type 2A hair and these are the products from Sephora that I have found work the best for my hair type.
*Note: many of these products are formulated to be used with all hair types, such as my favorite shampoo and conditioner, but the styling products may or may not work for you depending your hair’s texture and needs!

Tools
Hair Dryer
you can read my full review here, but I’m basically obsessed with this tool
Straightener
you can read my full review here; just know that I think it’s absolutely worth the investment
Curling Iron
I love that this set has three interchangeable heads, depending on the look I am trying to achieve. I have had it for more than 5 years now and it still works as well as the day I got it! highly recommend
Hair Turban
a gentler way to dry your hair; the microfiber doesn’t strip your hair of moisture
Hair Ties
these hair ties are covered in silk and are my favorite for wearing to bed to prevent breakage

Products
Shampoo // Conditioner
this is my everyday pair for routine hair cleansing; they come in travel sizes that are perfect for sampling or travel
Detox Shampoo // Hair Repair Treatment // Leave-In Conditioner
these are my favorite products for giving my hair a little extra TLC; travel sizes available
Dry Shampoo
this is a ride-or-die product for me as I have been using it for years to keep my oily scalp at bay (yes, I have tried others and this is still my favorite); travel size available
Smoothing Cream // Hair Oil // Texturizing Spray
when I style my hair, these are the products that I use to get the best results; travel sizes available

SKIN
I used to pride myself in having a very minimal skincare regimen, but now that I’m in my 30’s the number of products in that regimen has started to increase. For reference: I have combination skin, concerns about dark circles, occasional blemishes, and I am trying to combat the arrival of wrinkles. The following are my current favorite products to address my skin concerns that are available at Sephora:

Face
Facial Cleanser
my favorite light-but-effective foaming facial cleanser
Facial Moisturizers
Summer // Winter // Mask
the moisturizer that I use in the summer is light and plumping, contrasted with the one that I use in the winter for deeper hydration (keeping in mind that with combination skin I don’t need intense, thick creams). I like to use this mask to give my skin a boost of hydration, especially if I have been in some super dry climates or on an airplane
this moisturizing cream is one that I have been wanting to try ever since I saw that Bobbi Brown recommended it (and there is a mini size!)
Lactic Acid Treatment
I just recently bought this product, but haven’t used it yet because I have a tropical vacation coming up soon and am concerned about sun damage. however, I’ve seen that my friends get amazing results so I can’t wait to try it when I return from that trip!
Eye Cream
Daytime // Overnight
the daytime eye cream is dual purpose as it can be used as a makeup primer; overnight is perfect for hydrating and plumping the skin around tired eyes (perfect for exhausted parents, such as myself! haha) I got this trial size recently and can’t wait to buy the full size because I LOVE it!
Lip Moisturizer
my absolute favorite lip balm; it’s sooo hydrating and makes my lips feel amazing when I wake up (or even throughout the day if I choose to apply). it even heals my lips extremely fast if they become chapped — lovelovelove! *remember that a little goes a long way with this one

Body
Body Wash
I love this clean body wash and use it in every shower; I made the switch during my pregnancy and never looked back!
Body Lotion
I don’t often use body lotion, but in winter weather this moisturizer is my salvation. it absorbs easily and doesn’t leave a greasy residue on my skin. for best absorption apply after a shower!
Hand Lotion
due to my hyperhidrosis I don’t require a hand lotion, but my husband suffers from super dry hands (haha — what a pair we are! 😜) and he swears by this lotion to prevent his knuckles from cracking!

MAKEUP
I keep my makeup routine pretty simple. I personally prefer an “enhanced natural beauty” look to the full face of glam for my every day and these are my favorite products to accomplish that look:
Tinted Primer
I love the velvety smooth texture that this product gives; it evens out my skin tone in a sheer way and lends a mattifying effect
Concealer
I used to love this concealer pencil to smooth out any redness or discoloration (as a kind of “foundation”), but it seems that Sephora no longer carries it — I still love it and wanted to share anyway. I do want to give this one a try though! I also really like this liquid formula that provides great coverage!
Bronzer
(powder // cream)
I use the Golden Light shade in the powder and love it! both products blend beautifully
Blush
(powder // cream)
the powder comes in a mini size for travel or touch ups on-the-go! I use shade Naughty’n’Spice in the cream formula
Mascara
my go-to mascara for every day; no clumps and gives great length!
Lip Gloss / Balm
(Bobbi Brown // Summer Fridays)
I bounce between these two options — the BB crushed gloss is a true gloss and I find it to be well pigmented whereas the SF balm is more sheer with a hint of color
Setting Spray
I have used this product for at least a decade and it comes in SUPER handy for events; especially those in extremely humid conditions
Fragrance
Daily Signature // Travel
I know it’s “basic”, but I love this fragrance so much and I find it complements my body’s natural scent well (it’s amazing how your body chemistry can affect the way a scent smells when applied!). I also enjoy this scent, but I reserve it for travel because it comes in a roller ball applicator which I prefer to a mini spritz bottle (that I find often malfunction).
Happy shopping, friends!
Sending hugs —
xx, Natalie
