I love decorating for seasons and holidays, but I prefer a minimal approach to decor than a maximalist one. I personally think that sticking with a cohesive, neutral or simple color scheme is best for keeping the decor elevated — I really love using natural elements and colors of the season (such as shades of green + pastels for spring!).

WALL DECOR
I don’t have much in the way of seasonal wall decor in this house (indoor wreaths, hanging art, etc), but I really enjoy changing the art on our Samsung Frame tv. Often, I can find something that I like for the season / a holiday available in the art / media tab, but sometimes I have something more specific in mind and can usually find the digital artwork I’m looking for available on Etsy (like this adorable spring cottage!).

TABLETOP DECOR
In this situation, “tabletop” could obviously be regarding the dining room table, but it could also apply to sideboards or entryway tables, coffee tables, countertops, or even end tables. Don’t underestimate these locations — every little element adds something to the overall effect. Decorative objects really add to the seasonal aesthetic!
Speaking of decorative objects, I’ve been collecting decorative bunnies made of natural fibers for a few years now so I was absolutely tickled when I discovered this year’s version (with bows!!) at Target. They sold out SO fast, but you may be able to find them secondhand on Poshmark?
I have also really been leaning into light pink tones this year for springtime! Normally, I just want something fresh and clean (like whites and greens) to welcome the season, but this year I have really been feeling the color pink! I found some lovely floral stems in various sizes and textures to place around the house to bring that vision to life.

I’m obsessed with the glass “terrarium” vase with the wooden base — it suits our home’s aesthetic perfectly and it will be great for use in all seasons. I ended up buying two: one large and one medium. The photo directly above (in our kitchen) features the medium size, and you’ll see the large size in the first photo of the tabletop section.

I also love creating little seasonal vignettes around the house. One space in particular brings me so much joy to decorate throughout the year and that’s the buffet in our entryway. We use it to store some of our delicate, breakable items, but it’s in a location that gets a lot of foot traffic throughout the day so I feel like it should be pretty to look at!
I love being creative in finding seasonal decor for displaying inside the cloche. This spring I chose to use dried grass and pastel eggs in varying sizes.
Unfortunately, this exact style of woven bunnies are from years past in the Bullseye’s Playground section of Target. I’ve linked some similar options below and you may be able to find some secondhand via online retailers (such as eBay or Poshmark).
I kept this space fairly neutral as far as the stems and branches go — no pinks here! Just classic white and green (which will likely carry into our summer decor).

I also love bringing a little bit of the holiday into my kitchen. I have a small candle tray on our kitchen island that I like to swap out with festive items throughout the year, and springtime is no exception.
I used a couple of my small ceramic bunnies here, mostly because they’re a safe option to use around an open flame, but I also think they’re the perfect size and styling objects for the season!
These little faux pots of chamomile flowers bring me so much joy. Don’t they look so cheerful? I enjoy having them in the kitchen, where I end up spending so much of my time these days.
This is also where I always have a seasonal candle to burn because it’s positioned perfectly to fill our house with fragrance (the Chantilly Cream was a limited edition scent, but perfect for spring!). My brass tray is old from World Market, but this one is comparable!

DINING
In addition to a dining room floral arrangement or tablescape centerpiece there are other elements that can contribute a festive flair. The table runner, linens, napkin rings, glassware, serving trays, crockery, and even charger plate options make a statement to add to your home’s seasonal decor.
I don’t necessarily suggest having festive items for ALL of these elements at once, but just as suggestions to adjust your existing table decor. Maybe you already have a set of classic (and versatile) napkin rings, but could use some festive napkins; or maybe you need a special serving tray or two depending on the specific food needs of the holiday. If all you want to do is add a festive charger underneath your usual dinner plates, that could add just the right amount of interest to make the meal feel special!
I used my go-to woven chargers and coordinating woven napkin rings, which I have found to work for all seasons. I ordered some beautiful pink muslin napkins to use for the place settings and I adore how it turned out!
I also placed some of my ceramic bunnies (are we noticing a theme here? 🤭) along the center of the table and had a beautiful bouquet of fresh tulips as the centerpiece. It’s so simple, but still so festive!

MISCELLANEOUS
I kept it simple with our front door wreath for spring. It just feels so nice and fresh for the season to keep it minimalist. We may add some ribbon or swap it out for some with florals for summer — we’ll see!
