Hello, friends! Wow, it’s been a while — like, two-whole-trimesters-and-a-birth kind of long. 😜
I’ve been blogging throughout that time, but my content has obviously been very pregnancy-focused while I was in that headspace. I’m glad to switch it up today and share Five Things with you!
Today’s Five Things are items that have piqued my interest or things that have been on my mind / going on in my life recently!

TUBING MASCARA
I’m so late to the game on this one — have you heard of / do you use tubing mascara? It’s essentially a much more gentle variety of mascara for minimizing eyelash loss (I feel like I inevitably end up pulling a few out when I remove my makeup).

HEATLESS CURLING SET
I am still pretty scarred from my postpartum hair shedding experience after having Sophie and I am determined to do my best not to exacerbate things this time. One of the things I can do is to minimize the use of hot tools (which often require some pulling of the strands to achieve a desired look) and I thought I might try out one of these crazy looking heartless curl contraptions.
TBD if it works… my hair is pretty long so I don’t know if it will all fit on the flexi-rod thing or how effective this method will actually be for me, but I’ll be sure to report back!

BANWOOD BALANCE BIKE
Sophie had one request for her third birthday: a pink bicycle! We looked at multiple brands / options, but ended up settling on Banwood’s Balance Bike.
My husband has taken the responsibility of teaching Sophie how to ride a bike, which I appreciate because I’m way too anxious about it at her current age. 😅 We also invested in a helmet and protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards) so she’ll be fully outfitted for her playtime / lessons!

SOLLY WRAP
This product is hardly new (in fact, this brand has been around since ~2010, but babywearing wraps have been around for far longer!). I was reminded of how much I love my Solly Wraps when I recently pulled them out to babywear Chloe and thought it was the perfect opportunity to re-share!
They’re especially perfect for the infant / newborn stage because the wrap can easily squish down into your bag to bring with you on-the-go and once you get the hang of putting them on they’re pretty easy to wrap & put baby in / take baby out of (although I’ll admit there is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning).
I have two wraps — a neutral colored one and a floral print one (from a past season) so I can make a choice between them depending on what I’m wearing. I’m such a BIG fan of these wraps. I know I’ll graduate to a proper carrier at some point in the near future, but the convenience of the Solly Wrap just can’t be beat when you have a tiny, snuggly infant. 🥹

CAKES TRIANGLES
I have the original set of these Cakes nipple covers in the classic round shape and they’re awesome — they’re grippy, not sticky so there’s no residue or any discomfort when removing them. This new triangle shape is going to be fantastic for deeper necklines! Such a brilliant idea.

I’ve been planning a [belated] micro celebration for Sophie’s 3rd birthday since Chloe’s original induction date was set for the day before Sophie’s birthday… 😵💫🤪 Obviously, there were no party plans being made around that time, but now that we’re slowly getting our feet back under us as a family I’m finally able to dedicate some time to making our preschooler feel special and celebrated!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, friends!
Sending hugs —
xx, Natalie
