Hello, friends! Happy Friday — we made it!
I’ve been working on planning some fun activities for Sophie, especially for after Baby Girl arrives… mostly following the Playing Preschool schedule. I know that my bandwidth will be stretched to the limit at that point, but I really want Sophie to have fun things to do and to show her that she’s still important to us! If you have advice for adding a second child and balancing that juggling act, please leave a comment below so that we can all benefit from the guidance!
Today’s Five Things are items that have piqued my interest or things that have been on my mind / going on in my life recently!

YOTO PLAYER
We finally received all of the audio cards we ordered for the Yoto Player that we recently gave to Sophie! She’s had such a fun time swapping out the cards and learning how to move between the chapters of the stories. Additionally, this wooden card organizer has been the perfect storage solution for our playroom!

KIZIK HANDS-FREE SHOES
I’m so excited about these hands-free sneakers by Kizik! I’m approaching the time in pregnancy when it’s becoming more and more challenging to reach my feet, so not having to tie the shoes or hold them to put them on my feet seriously feels like a gift. 🤣
There are an assortment of different styles to choose from, no matter your personal style. I thought that the “Vegas” style in ivory would work best with my wardrobe — I assumed that they would be a lot heavier due to the slight platform sole, but they’re super lightweight!
As far as sizing goes, my shoe size can be anywhere from a 9-10, depending on the brand. I took these in a 9.5 and they are pleasantly roomy (not so much that they’re flopping around, but if my feet grow / swell they’ll still totally fit). If I wasn’t buying these for pregnancy I might consider sticking with my smaller size, but I’m really happy with how they fit for this chapter in my life. Highly recommend!

DORAI DRYING PAD
These drying pads by Dorai is absolutely a “nice to have” item, but it’s been SO worth the investment. We’ve had foam drying pads before and they always get funky (even after washing) are unstable for more delicate items. I love these silicone-wrapped diatomaceous earth pads because they dry quickly, the silicone wrap prevents direct contact between dishes & the pad and creates air vents for underneath portions to get air access, and finally they’re hefty enough to keep fragile items safe.

RECENT JAMIE KAY ORDER
Jamie Kay is my favorite brand to shop for children’s clothing and I couldn’t resist making some purchases from their most recent collection so that the girls will be able to have coordinated outfits! I can’t recommend this brand enough — their pieces are all so well made and always in the most beautiful colors.
