Happy Friday, friends! I hope your summer has been going well. We spent a delightful 4th of July in Maine with family. We always have the time together and we have so much fun, especially now that Sophie is at an age where she can actually enjoy activities with us!
We had a family photoshoot at a U-Pick blueberry farm today with @KerryJeannePhotography! This session was intended to be for Sophie‘s second birthday, but we’re about a month past her actual birthday because blueberries are just now in season! Blueberries are Sophie’s [current] all-time favorite food so we thought this would be a super fun setting for our session. I don’t know who was more excited about our session: Sophie experiencing the farm or us watching her excitement! haha I can’t wait to share a post with more images with you when we get them back! Kerry is so talented.
Today, I’m sharing five things that have piqued my interest or things that have been on my mind / going on in my life recently!
The Laundress Comeback
I recently received this email from The Laundress and I’m so happy to hear that they have relaunched with modified formulas that have been through even more rigorous testing and inspection. We loved using their products and never experienced an issue, but dutifully disposed of our detergents and various other products as recommended as part of The Laundress’ voluntary recall.
I’m looking forward to supporting them again and I hope you’ll give them another chance too. I’m linking our favorites below.

RUGGABLE RUGS
We’ve outfitted our new home [almost] entirely with Ruggable machine washable rugs and while I’ve done a few honest review posts (here and here) I just wanted to reiterate how positive our experience has been — obviously enough to get these washable rugs for every room of our new house!
I’ve linked all of the patterns we have in our home in the widget below, but there are so many designs, colors and textures to choose from to suit anyone’s style! These machine-washable rugs are great for everyone, but especially for anyone with pets and / or kids (because accidents are practically guaranteed!).

Rechargeable Lamps
These low-profile table lamps are so great for both indoor and outdoor use — I originally bought them for our back patio since we don’t have any strings of market lights up (yet 😏) and we rarely want to use the harsh built-in overhead lighting, but I love a little cozy illumination. They’re also perfect for adding a soft glow in little pockets of our home at night.
These lamps feature touch control, are cordless and rechargeable, have 3 colors (cool, warm, and inbetween), and are a nice weight (read: easy to carry, but won’t blow over with a soft breeze).

Now that Sophie is two, toddler safety has been at the top of my mind this year. It feels like every so often we get a super scary news headline that really grabs my attention and causes me to panic about being in a potential scary situation with Sophie. I hope to never have to use these things, but I’d rather be safe than sorry and thought I would pass them along to you too.
*Note: the following two items would both be effective for adults as well, so they’re good to have even if you aren’t a parent / caregiver!
resqme safety device
This little tool is a little safety device to keep in your vehicle in the event of an emergency. If you ever find yourself trapped in a vehicle, this tool can help you get out. The chances of needing it are probably pretty low and you may never need to use it, but it certainly can’t hurt to have. You can see a little demo of the tool here as well as some additional advice here for getting out of a vehicle immobilized in rising waters, provided by Michelle at @safeintheseat.

CPR WRAP
Omg — this is such a brilliant invention. I have taken CPR classes before, both in person and online (especially after Sophie was born!), but I am the type of person that will completely forget any training in a moment of panic. In a one-off unexpected situation I’m terrified that my mind would go blank (I experience this when taking tests, so I assume it would translate). My reasoning is that it can’t hurt to have on-hand — I hope that we never need to use it, but being prepared never hurt anyone.
They offer 3 sizes: Infant, Child, and Adult — all equipped with (1) Step-by-Step Instructions, (2) Sanitary One-Way Mouthpiece, and (3) Simple and Easy-to-Follow Illustrations. The instructions are displayed “with a non-woven overlay that guides you through the American Heart Association recommended steps” such as showing you exactly where to place your hands! I figured it can’t hurt to have on hand, just in case.
Our photographer sent us a [low-res] digital sneak peek from our session and I adore it so much!! I can’t wait to see the full gallery after she has the film developed!
I hope that you had a great July and that you have a wonderful weekend, friends!
Sending hugs —
xx, Natalie
