We made it to Friday, friends! I hope your week has been a good one or that there have been at least a few happy moments for you in the chaos. We have an upcoming trip to a tropical destination that I absolutely can’t wait for and that’s been my light at the end of the tunnel for a few months now (hence, the cover photo for today’s post 😜)! I’ll be sharing everything about our trip (what we packed, what we did, where we stayed, etc.) after we return home, so stay tuned for all of that content in the coming weeks. Today, however, I’m sharing five things that have piqued my interest or things that have been on my mind / going on in my life recently.

There is a new tv series on HBOMax that was recently put on my radar about Julia Child (aptly named “Julia”). As I write this there are only 5 episodes out, but there are more to come. My husband and I ended up binging all of the available episodes and look forward to watching the rest. We love the story of ingenuity and perseverance by so many of the characters involved! I definitely didn’t know the details behind Julia Child’s rise to fame; she was already a household name by the time I was born. It’s been very interesting to learn more about her!

In case you haven’t heard, Britney Spears shared that she is pregnant with her first child with fiancé Sam Asghari. Wishing both Brit-Brit and baby a safe and healthy pregnancy!

These Silicone Lanyards were such a random-yet-amazing find for baby life (and for future toddlerhood). We use them to secure Sophie’s pacifiers, toys, teethers, feeders, sippy cups, etc. anywhere we don’t want things to hit the floor or get lost. They work well on high chairs, grocery carts, exer-saucers, baby pool floats… you name it!

I can’t remember if I have shared Claudine Hemingway‘s account here before, but now’s as good a time as any to re-share. I love listening to her recant the truly interesting history of Paris one podcast episode at a time (featuring people, monuments, neighborhoods, etc.), giving virtual tours on social media (even LIVE Sunday strolls!), and she also offers in-person guided tours. Following her helps to satiate my Francophile wanderlust and I look forward to the day that we can meet in person for a tour through Paris (avec a Hemingway!).

A favorite recent purchase for myself — I’m crazy about my new shoes! You can read my full review here, which includes details on fit, sizing, break-in time, a hack for comfy shoelaces and some styling ideas!
Happy Easter / Passover to those who celebrate.
I hope everyone has an absolutely wonderful weekend!
Sending hugs —
xx, Natalie
