The 10 Best Shoes for Spring and Summer

Tory Burch Miller Sandals, Amazon Monika Raffia Sandals, Target Universal Thread Raffia Mules, Rothys the Point Flats, Loeffler Randall Keeley Sneakers, Native Jericho Sneakers, Sea Star Beachwear Espadrille Water Shoes

I’ve shared my favorite shoes for autumn and winter weather and now I’m finally getting around to sharing my favorite warm weather shoes. You’ll definitely see a couple of brand repeats here, but also a few that I haven’t mentioned before!

I was inspired to write this post because I’m getting excited about the prospect of being able to go back out into the world in a “more normal” capacity soon (post-pandemic) and wearing shoes that aren’t slippers! My every-two-week grocery runs have been my only reason for getting dressed in “real” clothes for the past 15 months — the aisles at Target have been my only runway! 🤣

IN REGULAR ROTATION:

Tory Burch Miller Sandals in Sand

This is probably the style of shoe that I have had the longest. Growing up in Florida, I didn’t wear many shoe styles other than sandals, so this has been a favorite of mine for a looong time. This tan (“sand”) patent leather is perfectly neutral and will pair well with just about anything in your closet — from casual to semi-dressy!

Amazon The Drop Monika Sandals in Raffia

I have these slide sandals in almost every color they offer! They have a similar appearance to the famous “H” design sandals, but I feel that the third strap on the Amazon design makes them sturdier. This particular color bounces in and out of stock often so if they happen to be unavailable in your size when you first look, I recommend to keep checking back — that’s how I got my pair!

Raffia Mule Slides

I love these Violet Woven Backless Mules by Universal Thread in “Tan”, but they’re currently sold out. 🙈 I love the summery-twist on this shoe style with the addition of the raffia because slip-on shoes are just so easy breezy for the summer. In addition to scouring Poshmark or Mercari for my exact pair, I also found some alternative woven slide options to shop in the widget below:

Rothy’s Pointed Flats in Ecru

These were my most recent shoe purchase and I am absolutely thrilled with them! I have talked about my love for Rothy’s so many times that you’re probably sick of hearing about the brand, but I absolutely adore them! Not only are they beautiful, well-made, require no breaking in and are eco-friendly, but they’re also machine washable! What’s not to love?! I also have the Spotted Loafer style and the Cinnamon Mary Jane style in addition to this beautiful neutral color; my collection just keeps growing! This shape and creamy color are super versatile for my wardrobe (second only to black flats!) — I love the beige shade for the spring and summer months! I wrote a post here about how to properly care for your Rothy’s!

Loeffler Randall Keeley Lace-Up Sneakers

I love this brand so very much (as you may have noticed from my quests for decent dupes of their fancy heeled sandals 😬), but when it comes to sneakers I don’t have to worry about ruining them with my hyperhidrosis so I was actually able to purchase them! They were comfortable to wear right out of the box and required no break-in time. I bought this pair with the watercolor floral print last year and they’re the perfect feminine sneaker! You may be able to find this print sold on another website (such as Poshmark), but LR launches new prints in the Keeley style a few times a year so you may find one that you like even better! Additionally, I always wear these no-show socks with all of my sneakers and love them.

Native Sneakers – Jericho Style

I wear these shoes so much in the warmer months. I know I’ve shared about Native before, but they’re absolutely a staple for me in the springtime and particularly in the summer! Because they’re rubber (non-slip and float!), are easy to rinse out / wipe down, and are super lightweight makes them pretty ideal for warm weather activities, especially anything water-related!

Sea Star Beachwear Espadrille Water Shoes in White

Such a cool invention! I love these water shoes disguised as espadrille flats. Water shoes are often garish colors or generally ugly (in my opinion 😬) — I was so excited to find these last year, but unfortunately they came into my life during a pandemic so I haven’t been able to wear them to the beach or anything yet. I love that the style can be worn in the water and then right out to lunch afterward — the perfect vacation shoe!

SHOPPING FOR:

Hunter Boots in Blush Thaw Pink

I have been dreaming of this pair of pink-hued Hunter boots — I absolutely love having my classic Hunter green wellies, but having an additional whimsical colored pair is always fun too (if you have the space!).

Margaux Ballet Mules

Also lusting over these Margaux slides. I need more mules like I need a hole in my head, but these are so unique I can’t help but be tempted to add them to my collection! Plus, this shade of blue is just gorgeous.

Loeffler Randall Rubber Clog

So, I am normally VERY anti-Crocs; I find their entire existence offensive. However, you put a floral print bow on a pair and suddenly they’re not quite so hideous. 😅 I don’t know if I’d necessarily leave the house in them, but they’d be perfect to slip on for daily tasks like grabbing the mail, doing some gardening, or taking our pup out to do his business.

*UPDATE* I ended up purchasing the LR rubber clogs on sale at the end of the season and I love them. Perfect for quick trips outside — I’m still unsure on whether or not I will wear them out and about, but they’re absolutely perfect for the situations I had previously mentioned.

I hope that you find this seasonal shoe roundup helpful… it’s taken me eight years of living in Seattle to figure it out – haha! Please let me know in the Comments section below if you have any additional questions (in regards to sizing, any routine maintenance, etc.)!

Happy shopping, friends!

Sending hugs —
xx, Natalie
