Just like “florals for spring” sweaters for autumn is hardly a groundbreaking concept, but I look forward to crunchy leaves and crisp autumn air ALL year long so it’s difficult not to get excited when cute sweater options start arriving at our favorite retailers!

It’s Sweata Weatha! (I love that SNL skit 😂)
I’m already taking inventory of my closet to see what “gaps” I could fill with any of this season’s sweater styles. There are so many beautiful cuts and colors to choose from this year — narrowing it down is going to be challenging for me. 🤣
I’m sharing all of the pieces that I already own (and love!) in addition to a selection of pieces that have caught my eye this year.

Anrabess Turtleneck Batwing Long-Sleeve Pullover Sweater – $33.99
(available in: Black, Caramel, Dark Green, Green, Grey, Indigo, Khaki, Lake, Lavender, Orange Rust, Pea Green, Pink, White, Wine Red)
I’m still working on losing my “Quarantine15”, so a loose-fitting tunic sweater that I can wear over stretchy leggings will be ideal for chilly days while I’m still working toward fitting back into my jeans. 😅

H&M Rib-Knit Sweater – $34.99
(available in Grey only)
Trying to determine whether or not I need a grey pullover sweater for my collection because I love the cut on this one. 😍

H&M Rib-Knit Mock Neck Sweater – $34.99
(available in Powder Beige only)
Almost the exact same style as the sweater above it, but with a slightly higher neckline. This creamy tan color is scrumptious!

Astylish Open-Front Long Sleeved Chunky Knit Cardigan – $34.99
(available in: Yellow Brown, Olive Green, Lilac Pink, Black, Brown, Cream, Marled Charcoal Grey, Hunter Green, Silver Grey, Light Grey)
I don’t like the color description for the “Yellow Brown” tone… I think it looks like more of a “Nutmeg” sort of color. I always enjoy a chunky, textured cardigan – super cozy. I own something very similar and love it!

Lark & Ro Women’s Balloon Sleeve Sweater – $39.00
(available in: Black, Dusty Rose, Medium Grey)
I bought this sweater in black a few months ago and it’s really great, especially for the price! I have been debating whether or not I need the other two colors now. 🤔

Liny Xin Oversized Long Sleeve Pullover Tunic Sweater – $39.97
(available in: Beige, Blue, Brown, Caramel, Marled Grey, Dark Red, Flower Blue, Ginger, Green, Grey, Light Grey)
Another oversized style that I want to wear paired with leggings. The burnt sienna color, scooped (slouchy!) neckline, and the knitted textures are what caught my eye, but there are so many other color options to choose from!

H&M Rib-Knit Cardigan – $39.99
(available in Beige only)
As much as I love a pullover sweater, cardigans are so easy to layer up on the days that the weather starts out chilly and then warms up as the sun rises. They pair so well with sleeveless jumpsuits and dresses so that you can extend the wear of those pieces well into autumn!

Goodthreads Boucle Shaker Stitch Balloon-Sleeve Sweater – $40.00
(available in: Black, Camel, Charcoal, Heather Grey, Heather Navy, Heather Oatmeal, Heather Pine, Heather Rust)
OB-SESSED with this Heather Rust color — it’s so rich and totally the perfect shade for autumn. If you tend to get chilly easily, you’ll love this sweater’s mock neck. It’s also long enough to cover your butt so it could be worn with leggings!

A&F Cozy Curved Hem Duster – $59.00
(available in: Terracotta, Grey, Tan)
This duster looks almost like sweatshirt material so I bet it has a nice weight to it; I’d wear it more like a light jacket or coat than a sweater. The color is just sooo yummy… totally makes me want a chai latte. I’ve personally been trying to grab all of the #MillennialPink I can get my hands on! 😂

H&M Rib-Knit Wool-Blend Sweater – $59.99
(available in: Dark Taupe, Yellow-Beige)
This one makes me want to curl up next to a fire pit with a book and a glass of wine. Hopefully I can fit back into my old jeans soon because this would be so cute with jeans and a pair of booties!

A&F Pointelle Back Cardigan – $79.00
(available in: Camel Brown, Marled Grey, Off White)
Because of its neutral caramel color this is such a versatile piece that will work throughout the seasons — and the duster length is so chic! Just pair with a classic white tee and jeans for an easy instant outfit.

A&F Puff-Sleeve Long Cardigan – $79.00
(available in: Dark Brown, Off White)
I normally shy away from deep brown shades because they don’t often work with the rest of my wardrobe, but this color is such a delightful warm tone (it reminds me of a big mug of Mexican hot chocolate!). It would look so pretty paired with any cream, blush pink, dusty rose, or caramel colored pieces!

J.Crew Tippi Merino Wool Sweater – $79.50
(available in: Black, Navy, Heather Saddle, Heather Smoke // inclusive sizing and petite options)
No joke, I have this sweater in like eight different colors. It’s perfect for layering under other jackets and coats, but will still keep you warm on its own. *Psst! J.Crew often has sales, so you should have a few opportunities to get your hands on this sweater at a discount throughout the season! 😉

& Other Stories Oversized Alpaca Blend Relaxed Sweater – $100.00
(available in: Oatmeal, Dark Green, Blue)
Another great oversized sweater to pair with leggings! This piece looks a bit more elevated due to the fabric, so it could be fun to pair with another texture like faux leather leggings… just to jazz things up a little (maybe for a date night?).
(*Note: I’ve heard this sweater runs big so it’s recommended to size down, but because I want it to be a bit larger than normal, I’ll probably stick with my usual size)

Sézane Gaspard Jumper – $120.00
(available in: Blue Vintage, Nude, Ecru, Black, Red, Camel, Grey Marl)
This sweater has to be one of Sézane’s flagship items — it’s so perfectly Parisian chic. Wear it on it’s own, wear it over a camisole, wear it with the buttons in the back… so many possibilities to dress this one up or down and there are lots of classic color options to choose from!

Demylee Chelsea Mohair Sweater – $320.00
(available in: Buttermilk)
I have a sweater very similar to this one by the same brand (but from an older season) and absolutely love to wear it! Super warm and high-quality it’s so perfect during the colder months. I was lucky enough to find mine on major sale, but I’d absolutely pay full price — totally worth the investment!

Dôen Reed Sweater – $398
(available in Cinnamon only)
I just had to include this beautiful sweater… I love the cut and all of the different textures: the cable-knit, the “popcorn” balls, the twists! And it’s made with baby alpaca fiber so I bet it’s super soft and warm. Definitely a luxurious heirloom piece.
As an Amazon Associate I can earn a small percentage from qualifying purchases from my Amazon product recommendations.

As you can see, I’m all in on the oversized cut / balloon sleeves — I definitely want to stock up before the trend disappears and I can’t find these styles anymore! I’m also absolutely loving all of the warm and muted autumn color choices this year — they’re all so yummy and feel so perfectly appropriate for the season. I think that all of these pretty sweaters are wardrobe-versatile and could be used through the winter and into the spring season when paired with the right items.
Stay cozy and happy shopping, friends!
xx, Natalie
